Why adapt print?
‘Print’ refers to written words and symbols that are seen and interpreted for
meaning. In everyday life, print appears in books, signs, online content and
in handwritten form, serving as just some of the ways we access and share
information.
Print-related challenges often develop gradually and cumulatively, sometimes
going unnoticed as learners progress in their literacy journey. Thoughtfully
adapted print material can make a tangible difference by supporting access,
engagement and skill-building for learners of all ages.
Regardless of how print is used – whether supporting the learner or the

experiences that enhance learning and communication. Adapted print products
