Dear Zoo is about a child receiving a series of surprising animals from the zoo, each with its own amusing problem. In this adapted version, repeated sentence patterns and interactive animal reveal panels build anticipation and prediction skills while supporting vocabulary learning and active participation in shared reading. A simple-to-use communication card is provided for the reading partner to model book operation skills. Language modelling may be stepped up with AAC word tiles provided.
